About Holding Township

Holding Township is in the northern tier of townships in Stearns County, Minnesota, United States. The township was established in 1870 and named for an early settler named Randolph Holding. Holding Township is home to 1,216 people in 453 households. It has a total area of 41.8 square miles of fertile farmland, rolling wooded pastures, and busy family farms. The City of Holdingford is located within the Township’s boundaries.
